That doesn’t mean that you should wear shorts when it is fifty degrees outside.  I really don’t understand this phenomenon.  It’s like this idea that people have that it is spring, therefore, shorts must be worn!  Don’t you have pants?  I was almost dressed in winter gear today.  Dude, just save them for when it is really nice out.  It will happen, just wait for it.
